Begin your roadie in LA (or you could go in reverse order starting in San Fran)

- Find an RV in LA at RV rental sale finder and you might even find a super deal to save some money.
- Head out on highway 1 towards Malibu and Ventura.
- Take a relaxing journey up the coast pulling over whenever something catches your eye. Look out for the surf at Surfer's point. Explore some of Ventura's downtown museums, galleries, dining and shopping. Take a walk around Ventura harbor, checking out the fishing boats, seafood restaurants and retail center. If you're there in August be sure not to miss the Ventura County Fair.
- OR just chill out in the comfort of your RV on the side of the highway overlooking the beach or in a local RV Park. Here is a suggestion: Ventura Beach RV Resort.
It's not far to Santa Barbara from Ventura, on highway 1, so you could spend the night there or keep heading north.
A popular tourist destination and home to many Spanish buildings, Santa Barbara is a beach town waiting to be explored.
Head north and to make the most of the coastal scenery, don't join highway 101 but keep on highway 1. Pull up along the coast and have a picnic or swim or stop in the smaller towns for a look around. Stay the night in a smaller town's RV park such as Morro Bay or Plaskett (among others) or drive the full way to Santa Cruz.

- Santa Cruz is another Spanish settlement come Beach resort community. Take a walk through the Redwood forests, along the beautiful coastlines, enjoy some time at the oceanfront amusement park or get amongst the alternative community lifestyle.
- Find an RV park for the night like Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Resort.
From Santa Cruz you're not far from San Francisco. Continue the final leg of your journey ( or stay somewhere on the way) up the coastal route highway 1.
Keep your RV in San Francisco for a few days, giving you time to explore or return it to a depot.
Be sure to drive over the Golden gate bridge, perhaps take a ride to Alcatraz or Treasure Islands, visit US's oldest and one of the largest Chinatown or shop the boutiques along Fillmore Street. With so much to do you'll probably want to keep the RV a few extra days.
Have a fantastic journey!! And feel free to suggest any other great places to stop and visit.
Don't forget, find an RV for your Roadtrip at RV Rental Sale Finder. :-)
